PepsiCo India Supports communities in Solving Recycling and Waste Problems

PepsiCo India works towards environment protection through community projects such as Project Purna and Tidy Trails.

On World Environment Day 2025, PepsiCo India underlined its focus on recycling & waste management through the launches of Project Purna and Tidy Trails. The company shows its commitment to both supporting a circular economy and engaging the community.

Project Purna is bringing PLAN Foundation and Mathura-Vrindavan Nagar Nigam together to modernize waste management in the areas visited by many tourists. Many women and men are receiving proper training which is helping improve recycling, waste management and their personal earnings.

Tidy Trails was launched by The Social Lab and is currently making progress in recycling and managing waste in Agra, Guwahati, Pune and New Delhi. More than 76,000 people have been part of the project that has recycled 68,000 kg of plastic material.

Among its wider objectives, PepsiCo India wants to use mono-material packaging and introduce rPET bottles to improve national recycling policies. The business engages with relevant groups to upgrade their facilities and achieve recycling aims.
